Bergerac in the late summer sun. Bergerac is a lovely historic town with lots to see itself and a great place to base yourself to explore this wonderful area of France. The town is surrounded by vineyards and in easy reach of many lovely historic chateaus and bastide towns, so typical of the region. It has an airport with lots of cheap flights many destinations throughout the UK and the Netherlands, putting it in easy reach for a summer holiday or a long weekend at any time of the year.
