Mothis
13th Century Farmhouse with Pool
Mothis is a tastefully converted stone farmhouse which has panoramic views across the €˜Vallee du Mail' looking towards the €˜plus beaux villages de France' €˜Pujols'. The beautiful town has some good restaurants, a wonderful Sunday morning market and on a Wednesday evening a night market where you can enjoy good food, music and dancing.
Pujols was a 13th century Cathar stronghold so has a wealth of history. This area was also favoured by the Knights Templar for its tranquillity and beauty.
The airports of Bergerac is approximately 45 minutes away, Bordeaux and Toulouse 90 minutes.
Built of local stone €˜Mothis' is deceptively spacious and features an abundance of character - original beams, fireplaces, log burning stoves (which are vented off to heat various areas of the house during the cooler months) and timber or tiled floors on a number of different levels. The thick stone walls afford coolness inside the house during the hot summer weather. Open fires and central heating provide comfort during the winter season.
